Abstract

Psychology, as a science, has become an area in which various possibilities of “seeing man” have been consolidated over time, among them, Clinical Psychology. This article brings the author's reflections on phenomenological clinic and research whose theoretical basis is phenomenology. Understands the need to go beyond what is hermetically formatted as the most coherent, which must be followed in the clinical and research contexts. It brings to the discussion what it stipulates as principles of existential Linearity and Circularity and, from there, launches the proposal of the clinic and doing research considering three elements: the encounter, the mismatch and the reunion, understanding the human dimension and intersubjectivity as fundamental components of doing psychology on a phenomenological basis. Permeating this attitude, this action, proposes the perspective of the three looks: the look that I cast on me; the look I cast on the other; the look that I cast on the look of the other, constituting the movement, the becoming in the clinic and in the research.

Keyword: Clinical psychology, phenomenological research, Existential linearity and circularity, perspective from the three looks.
