IDENTIDADES ATRIBUÍDAS: A ORIGEM DO BAIRRO CONDOMÍNIO NA CIDADE DE NAMPULA
Abstract
This article deals with identities attributed in the Mozambican context, specifically, we sought to identify the origin of the condominium neighbourhood in the city of Nampula. Faced with urban growth, the core of the city of Nampula and the old traditional neighborhoods no longer have space for new construction. Faced with this scenario, people, whether organized or not, seek to occupy spaces in peripheral areas in the city belt, which is the case of the Condominium neighborhood. Methodologically, the work was based on bibliographical research and ethnographic work. The results of the study show that the neighborhood has three assigned identities, that is, the condominium neighborhood, the Brito neighborhood and the Naheni area.
