Abstract

This article proposes to make a chronological sequence about the geographic content as a science. From its formation and systematization in Germany to the theoretical-methodological references that transformed it, correlating to the current of geographical thought and its main precursors to the present day. A bibliographical review was made, based on books and other academic research. Thus, we identified that Geography is, since its genesis, an Interdiscursivity of knowledge exchanged and reformulated by individuals of different time periods, but always attentive to the various physical, natural and social phenomena that affect humanity. And there is no way to think about any area of Geography, without interdisciplinary articulations; for, after all, we need continuous dialogues, new readings and perspectives on knowledge; since sciences only progress when there is the exchange of different ideas.
