A PERCEPÇÃO DOS PROFESSORES DE UMA ESCOLA PÚBLICA QUANTO A NECESSIDADE DE UM PSICÓLOGO ESCOLAR
Abstract
School psychology is one of the areas of psychology that has been gaining prominence in the labor market, due to its advances in the field of education and the need for this in the school context, in matters of teaching / learning. He works together with a multidisciplinary team and the psychologist presents himself as a mediator in the teaching method. This article aimed to understand the perception of teachers of a public school in the interior of Amazonas, regarding the need or not of a school psychologist working at the school. This research was quantitative, qualitative and descriptive, with semi-structured interviews being used as an instrument. In relation to the results, it was verified how necessary the presence of a school psychologist is in the academic scope, considering that 100% of the interviewed teachers stated that the school psychologist would add a lot / a lot to the student body. Still regarding this issue, the teachers believe that the role of the school psychologist is very important. On this importance, a scale from 0 (nothing) to 10 (a lot) was made, 90% of the teachers scored 10, as for the 10% these scored between 8 at 9, within this scale, such markings are strong points about the performance of this professional, and can assist in various ways in the student body, intervening in social, emotional issues and in relation to teaching / learning.
