A PARTICIPAÇÃO DAS MULHERES EM CARGOS DE LIDERANÇA NA ADMINISTRAÇÃO PÚBLICA: UMA ANÁLISE DO SECRETARIADO MUNICIPAL NA REGIÃO DO JALAPÃO, TO
Abstract
The present work aims to analyze the participation of women in the municipal secretariat of the Jalapão region, highlighting the difficulties faced and the reality experienced by women in these positions. The research was based on a theoretical review on the role of the municipal secretariat as political agents, as well as on the insertion of women in public administration. Furthermore, empirical research was carried out through the analysis of the transparency portals of the eight municipalities belonging to the Jalapão State Park, with the aim of identifying the organizational structure of these municipalities, the number of women appointed to municipal secretariat positions and the respective areas of activity. The results indicate a significant variation in female participation in leadership positions, with emphasis on two municipalities in which the female presence is significant. However, it is observed that, in most municipalities, there is still a gap in relation to female representation, highlighting the need to implement public gender equality policies that encourage the inclusion of women in decision-making processes and promote their greater participation in spheres of municipal power. In this way, the study highlights the importance of affirmative policies to strengthen the female presence in municipal public administration.
