This is a study whose objective was to analyze and to describe the importance of the M’Boatawa festival for the Tenharin Piry Kagwahiwa people, located in the south of Amazonas. The methodological proposal of this text is based on the qualitative approach, which, according to Clandinin and Connely (2000, p. 20), defines research as “universe of investigation that is essential, as it directly interferes with the quality of information from which it will be possible to construct the analysis and reach a wider understanding about the problem outlined”. The theoretical discussion was based on (Araújo, 2023) and (Peggion, 2006). The data analyzed made it possible to understand that the traditional indigenous festivals play a role of extreme importance in strengthening the culture and promoting the alliance among peoples, constituting a moment of celebration of the resistance of the native peoples.
