Abstract

Consorciated crops appear as na alternative for the implantation or maintenance of the recovery of riparian forests, being also important to promot forest restoration. This work aims to characterize the riparian forest of the stream located in the IFRO campus Colorado of the West, to identify the method that would best apply to its restoration. According to the survey and comparisons, we observed the types of springs in the place: spring that is framed (ciliary forest) and spring disturbed because it does not present 50 meters of vegetation in its surroundings, and also because of erosions and silting of the water body due to lack of vegetation.In view of these results, it is observed that, in the area to be recovered, the most appropriate method of recomposition would be through natural regeneration.
