This work aims to analyze the subject-position and the ideological formations presented in journalistic discourses of the opinionated cartoon format in order to 1) Identify the subject-position in the cited journalistic product; 2) Understand in which ideological formation the discourse of the journalistic product is inserted; 3) Discuss the power relations of journalism in society and 4) Interpret the meanings present in cartoons. For this research, the French line of Discourse Analysis (DA) was used as a theoretical-methodological reference, whose main author is Michel Pêcheux. The results found identified the sexist ideological position in cartoons that used female figures to invalidate female achievements. It was noted that the journalistic discourse generates a lot of influence on the public with the power to build realities and encourage the thought of gender inequality, as well as weaken the anti-machista struggle in society.
