Abstract

Accidents caused by venomous animals are an important public health problem in Brazil and the world, as they mainly affect populations residing in more socioeconomically vulnerable areas, such as locations in the Amazon region, thus leaving this population more vulnerable. exposed to the risk of accident. Thus, the objective of this study is to characterize the epidemiological profile of morbidity and mortality of venomous animals in the state of Amazonas from 2018 to 2022. This is an ecological time series study, based on secondary data, with the unit of analysis being the State of Amazonas, in the period from 2018 to 2022. The importance of guidance on the use of protective objects during these people's work activities is also highlighted, thus expanding the protection options in relation to these accidents.
