We know that Brazil is a rich country in ore, proof of this is the history of colonization, and because of that, since then it has been experiencing political and conflicting difficulties caused by illegal mining in indigenous territories. The agropastoral and mineral economic expansion brought with it a sad reality in which indigenous peoples live in the contemporary world. The exploitation of illegal mining in indigenous lands is a greatest threats to Indigenous Peoples. The illegal mining, in most cases, is in indigenous lands, harming the fauna and flora of the territories. This report aims to understand how the Indigenous people of the Tenharin of Igarapé Preto were affected by the implementation of mining in traditionally occupied territories in the Indigenous area of the Tenharin of Igarapé Preto and how much the destructive force of mining lasts until the present day.
