Abstract

Taking into account the consequences of COVID-19, namely in the field of education, the diversification and flexibility of spaces seem to be a fundamental challenge for the emergence of educational practices that are more congruent with the transformative processes of people and their life contexts. The intervention contained in this document, based on the Outdoor Learning paradigm, was carried out with a group of eight trainees who were attending the short-term training unit "Identifying and promoting the fundamental rights and duties of citizens", within the scope of Education and Adult Training, in a Training Center of the Portuguese public services for Employment and Vocational Training. The activity entitled “From Mondego to Coimbra”, sought to provide a dialogic opportunity to explore and critically reflect on the concept, importance and connection to “heritage”, through interaction with the natural environment. As the collected results demonstrate, the activity constituted a moment of strong involvement of the people, having also been very well evaluated.
