ABSTRACT

Biodiversity is a set of species of living beings existing in a given region. Fungi are eukaryotic and heterotrophic organisms, where their reproduction can be sexual or asexual, they are macroscopic or microscopic, unicellular or multicellular beings. Currently, the teaching of Science, more specifically the teaching of Mycology, is still taught in a traditional way, through lectures and the use of textbooks. However, this scenario needs to be changed. New literatures show the importance of practical classes for the teaching of Science, as this can be a method to assist in the student's teaching-learning process. Thus, due to the covid-19 pandemic, classes in schools in the city of Humaitá-Amazonas were suspended, where it was not possible to implement the project. Thus, for a good progress in this work, an analysis of the content of three Mycology books from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade of high school was carried out in order to know how it is passed in textbooks and how this theme is worked. , this book has only one publisher (Quintet). According to the authors, textbooks are one of the main tools used by teachers, but most of them are brought in erroneously, so it is necessary to analyze this material, as through this research you can adopt other measures of teaching for students, taking different alternatives, such as practical classes. Based on the analysis of textbooks, it is clear that more information is needed in this content, so that the student can understand the past theme.
