Abstract

EVALUATION OF LEARNING IN BIOLOGY AND CHEMISTRY CLASSES IN HIGH SCHOOL OF BENJAMIN CONSTANT-AM

ABSTRACT

The present work sought to research the existing forms and assessment instruments so that the teacher can take an educational action in a broader way and that can influence the learning of students, in which the main objective of knowing the learning assessment instruments used was established. or adopted by professors of Biology and Chemistry disciplines, and the implications of this for the teaching-learning process, with the specifics being to analyze the different types of assessment that enable the teacher to measure the level of student learning, verifying how the assessment of classroom learning in the subjects of Biology and Chemistry in Basic Education, and describe the evaluation process adopted by teachers in the classroom, in the subjects of Biology and Chemistry. The investigation was carried out in a public school in the city of Benjamin Constant-AM. The target audience consisted of 09 professors, 04 from the Biology discipline and 05 from the Chemistry discipline. For data collection, a semi-structured interview consisting of 07 questions was chosen as a collection instrument. To investigate the collected data, a qualitative analysis was performed. Most professors showed that they use evaluation processes to perform the skills that students demonstrate to have in their classes. This research had a social character for the school, and especially for the teachers. All goals were achieved, and the investigation was the first to be carried out in the Biology and Chemistry Science Course.
