NOMOFOBIA, ADOLESCÊNCIA E DISTANCIAMENTO SOCIAL
Abstract
Abstract: The problematic and excessive use of technologies can have negative effects on people's lives, which can trigger Nomophobia, conceptualized as a phobia caused by discomfort or anguish resulting from the inability to access communication through cell phones, tablets or computers . A survey carried out in Brazil with adolescents states that 86% are connected, which corresponds to 24.3 million Internet users, with a variation between 94 and 95% in the South, Southeast and Midwest and 75% in the regions North and Northeast. The article aims to bring reflections and present contributions from education and psychopedagogy, as a mediator between possible symptoms of Nomophobia and Social Distancing in adolescence. The moment of confinement and social distance can be prone to anxiety, worries, boredom, restrictions on how to have fun, and such elements can trigger an increase in dependence on cell phones, increasing the possibility of nomophobic symptoms. The link between Nomophobia and its psychopathological impact is still unclear and further research in the field is needed.
