PERCEPÇÕES DE ESTUDANTES DE MEDICINA DA UFAM SOBRE O ESTÁGIO NA ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA À SAÚDE NO INTERIOR DO AMAZONAS, BRASIL (2020).
Abstract
In this qualitative, descriptive research, we sought to reflect on the contribution of the Rural Medical Internship at the Federal University of Amazonas to the training of professionals prepared for professional practice in Primary Health Care, through documentary research and the perception of interns concluding the internship in Preventive and Social Medicine, from the Mandatory Curricular Internship, based on their voluntary evaluations in the final reports. The results show that the entrance of these students occurred in full adolescence, considering that the majority is attending the Internship in the 22-24 age group (63.9%), they are from other states of the country (27.8%), with income above 5 minimum wages (56%) and completed high school in a private school (72%). They evaluated the internship in Primary Health Care as good (47.2%) and considered as the most relevant scenarios for learning the service to rural communities including home visits and attention to indigenous health (25%) and the service to the riverside population in Fluvial UBS (22%). These perceptions provide clues to the prioritization of Primary Health Care as a scenario of strategic practices by bringing medical education closer to the demands of the population and health policy.
