REFLEXÕES SOBRE OS TIPOS DE TURISMO E O BEM-ESTAR NA PERSPETIVA DA PSICOLOGIA
Abstract
Tourism has shown a significant volume of demand, stimulated by the increasing income in countries, the motivations to travel, demographic, cultural, social and technological changes, the diversification of destinations and increasing liberalization. This sector is characterized as a multifaceted and geographically complex activity, which has given rise to different market segments that seek to respond to the specific interests of tourists, leading to niche tourism. Currently there is an expansion in what concerns tourism supply, highlighting health tourism, medical tourism, wellness tourism and spiritual and religious tourism. Tourists have expressed a demand for destinations in order to maintain and promote health and well-being, allowing them to achieve not only physical well-being, but also psychological, spiritual and social well-being. Currently, the tourism industry can integrate the surrounding concepts of psychology, namely positive psychology, and mindfulness, opening a new path for tourism more attentive to personal and individual needs in the field of mental health.
