SUICÍDIO ENTRE OS UNIVERSITÁRIOS: UMA ANÁLISE DA PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA DOS ÚLTIMOS 10 ANOS

Abstract

Suicide is increasingly present in the lives of young people, turning them into one of the most affected populations, suicidal ideation being the most common aspect especially during university. These are young people who are dealing with the transition to adulthood and find themselves in a new phase, with many expectations and fantasies about university, however, when they get to experience this new cycle, they might get frustrated and, some of them, can't deal with the disappointment, the pressure or the adversities found, so they become ill. The aim of this study is to analyze and qualify the productions regarding suicide among university students throughout the last ten years (2010-2019) on Scielo database. Forty-two scientific work abstracts were found, among them three languages stood out, Spanish, English and Portuguese, Sapanish was the predominant language, it had 34 articles. Besides that, there were forty-one researches and one literature review. From those, 21 fit in the objectives of this study, the others were excluded for not filling the analysis criteria. The analysis were preceded by metacience criteria (authorship, thematic, speech and methodology and data analysis). It was possible to comprehend that the scientific production regarding this subject in the last decade made modest, but significant advances for science.
