Abstract
In the course of academic life, the psychic illness of university students who sometimes have some type of psychiatric disorder has been common. Among these disorders, depression, stress and anxiety stand out. This article aimed to analyze the psychological distress of university students from the interior of Amazonas who study in Manaus, who are part of the Municipal Association of University Students of Manacapuru. The research had a quantitative, descriptive and field approach. The instruments used were BAI, BDI, ISSL and a questionnaire composed of eleven questions to raise the factors that lead to the student's psychological distress. To analyze the data obtained, the statistical-descriptive strategy was used. From the results, it appears that stress and anxiety have been significant factors for students' psychological suffering, as well as depressive symptoms complement the illness and can be proposed through local institutions psychological assistance and activities that promote well-being in order to reduce the symptoms of the disorders.
