Abstract

ABSTRACT

The Supervised Internship of the Psychology Course at the Franciscan University (UFN) with an emphasis on Educational and School Processes aims to insert the Psychology intern in the field of current educational discussions, as well as to develop a critical reflection on the role of psychologists and Psychology in the field of schooling. This study deals with a report of an internship experience carried out in an elementary school in the city of Santa Maria-RS, developed in the first semester of 2018. Psychology interns were present at the school in order to promote the mental health of institution as a whole and held meetings with the management team, operating groups with previously selected classes and welcoming more specific demands. The experience proved to be very positive, as Psychology was able to put into practice the proposals that were available and was able to see the particularities that constitute not only human relations itself, but also those that the school institution itself produces in its stakeholders. Finally, it points to the importance of the figure of the psychologist in the context of school education as a mediator of intersubjective processes that seeks to promote the psychological health of the school institution as a whole.
