Despite the advances in the social debate on gender violence, schools, as institutions that regulate behavior, still reproduce practices from patriarchal, sexist, and violent cultures. The difficulty in discussing gender in public educational spaces spreads institutionalized gender discrimination and inequalities. This systematic review investigated the manifestation and confrontation of gender violence in the school environment. By combining frameworks from school/educational psychology and feminist studies, the PRISMA methodology was used to gather and analyze articles. Searches were conducted in the CAPES/MEC Periodicals Portal, the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) digital library, and the Scopus – Elsevier database, with a time frame from 2016 to 2020, focusing exclusively on research conducted in school contexts. The thematic analysis of the data revealed multiple forms of gender violence in the school environment, highlighting the lack of systematic confrontation strategies.
