Abstract

This reflective article addresses a research conducted within the scope of the Supervised Internship III discipline - Theater Workshop, part of the Theater Teaching Course at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), aiming to establish connections with the Postgraduate Program in Psychopedagogy. Within this discipline context, students develop a Theater Workshop project that takes place outside the regular school environment, focusing on local communities, interest groups, and public, private, or third-sector institutions. The discipline's goal is to guide students in the development of a Theater Teaching project, in which they can deepen their knowledge around a specific methodology. The project in question adopted the Drama Process as a methodological approach for Teaching Theater to the elderly, exploring the theme of memories, and was conducted in 2018 at the Itagiba home, located in the Chácara das Flores neighborhood, in Santa Maria (RS). Based on this approach, the overall objective of the research was to investigate the practice of Drama with the elderly, based on their memories, during psychopedagogical sessions.
