Domestic violence and school context
the perception of elementary and high school students from the perspective of Phenomenology

Violence, considered a growing phenomenon that affects directly and indirectly in the different domains of social coexistence, has been a constant theme in the scenario of debates about social phenomena. It is known that situations of this nature cause a series of changes in the contexts in which that the person who suffers violence transits. The objective of this study is to understand the conception of students of Elementary and Secondary Education about the conception of domestic violence in the school experience under the bias of Martin Heidegger's Phenomenology. The research is under the qualitative, descriptive and exploratory bias. The phenomenological method of research in Psychology and the analysis of interviews based on Martin Heidegger's theory were used. The instrument was the phenomenological interview that started with a guiding question and presented consequences. 8 students participated. Five categories were found: a) Domestic violence: the look on the phenomenon; b) Life is a deep valley, there is life, but from deep tears in the soul; c) Talking about domestic violence: senses and meanings; d) Change of reality: everyone's responsibility!; e) Psychological duty: niche of possibilities for reception, listening and care! It is concluded that adolescents have a very broad conception about the domestic violence phenomenon, its causes, the pain and suffering present there, expressing senses and meanings and the possibility of change that some do not believe is possible and also point out the importance of the Psychological Duty in Public Schools as an instance of listening, acceptance and care.
