Abstract

The objective of this study is to understand the life experience of a self-declared black lesbian woman, from the beginning of her life story until the moment she makes the decision to experience a homoaffective relationship. For this, we used the interview of a participant in a scientific initiation project who presented a description and possibility of reflection. It is a qualitative research, using the phenomenological-psychological method of research in Psychology and the video interview recorded through the Google Meet platform, enabled the elaboration of a Thematic Category subdivided into 7 analysis cores. The analysis of the interview was based on the theoretical framework of Phenomenological-Existential Psychology. It is concluded that the experience, despite the numerous difficulties present there, became the basis for decisions and choices to be carried out by the participant in order to take ownership of her existence and, in this way, re-dimension the look on herself , life, the world.
