Abstract

The present work presents the Portuguese translation of the short story Kamisama (God), by the contemporary Japanese writer Kawakami Hiromi. The translation aims to bring to the Brazilian public a sample of his magnificent perception of literary Japan. The text Kamisama was published in 1994, year which received the award Pascal Short Stories Newcomer Prize.
