About the Journal

“Hon No Mushi - Japanese Multidisciplinary Studies”, a biannual journal, is a product of the Japanese Language and Literature course at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). Since its inception in 2016, with the goal of publishing research by the Japanese Studies Research Group (CNPq/UFAM) and inquiries made by researchers from several higher institutions and countries, Hon no Mushi has been promoting a broad range of events, as well as discussions and debates among those involved in the field of Japanese Studies.

The Hon No Mushi journal supports publications in Japanese, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with the aim of reaching more readers and giving more visibility to research in the vast field of knowledge known as Japanese studies.

This is, therefore, the Hon No Mushi journal. We invite everyone to dive into the critical provocations, analytical considerations, and literary and linguistic propositions by experts carefully selected by our editorial board. The quality of the research published in this journal stems from the relentless dedication and commitment of all those involved, along with the critical and reflexive spirit that moves academic journals forward.
