TEODORA, SIMPATIA E SHERAZADE: APONTAMENTOS SOBRE A TRANSGRESSÃO FEMININA
Abstract
The present study aims to present some notes on the transgressor feminine being in the characters of folheto História da Donzela Teodora and of the book The Thousand and One Nights. To analyze the transgressive aspects, we selected the characters Teodora, Sherazade and Simpatía. Initially, we will make some comments about female transgressiveness and its possible developments, besides analyzing excerpts from the works that denote the transgressive aspect of the characters, for this we will count on the help of theorists Faria (1997), Butler (2011) and Beauvoir (1960). We understand that Teodora, Sherazade and Simpatía are represented as wise women, whose nature is wild and this would be an indication of the transgressive aspect in the characters, who are protagonists of their own story. Even so, we find that they present, at the same time, transgressive and submissive aspects, intertwining the free and rebellious spirit of Inanna/Ishtar or Lilith and the traditional and submissive spirit of Eve.
