O MEME MACHADIANO COMO POTENCIALIZADOR DE MULTISSEMIÓTICAS (RE)LEITURAS
Abstract
The emergence of new speech genres reflects the countless transformations we are subjected to in the current world, in the weaving of paradigms governed by the preponderance of a virtual reality. This work intends, therefore, to demonstrate how the meme genre – a phenomenon belonging to this new social topography – can be fruitful when used in the demands of teaching-learning Portuguese language and literature today. Therefore, the use of this multimodality as part of the universe of digital media is justified, as a configuration of a critical bias associated with humor. In this equation, the meme would present itself as a new type of important social narrative, reporting everyday events, but always with a view to maintaining a dialogue of unpredictable rearrangements between texts and images. As a teaching proposal, we will create memes anchored in two works by Machado de Assis, which will be used as a corpus of our analysis and productions. When thinking about such procedures, we can associate to them the discussion of topics such as an ideological sign, singular to the formation of a subject attentive to new possibilities of reading, giving new meaning, via meme, to the works involved in its production; what is expected to be verified is the participation of students in a new context of openness to literary reception, considered as “distant” by many. For that, some concepts will need to be evidenced, such as irony, production and construction of meanings, multiliteracies and multimodalities, as well as the speech genres, all indispensable for the insertion of these learning subjects in social practices of constructive readings.
