HIERARQUIA E SUJEIÇÃO EM SÃO BERNARDO
Abstract
The following research has as it aim to analyze the relation between the main character, Paulo Honório, from Graciliano Ramos’ novel São Bernardo (1934) and his employees, Rosa and Marciano. Such relation happens mainly by the possesion feeling which the main character of the novel has about what he believes he has the possession, including his own employees from his farm. Besides that, this research aims to demonstrate the likelihood among these characters from Graciliano Ramos’ novel and stately trace which had marked the brazilian society for years. To demonstrate this mentioned situation above, this analysis is going to originate from the main ideas pointed out by Candido (2006), Lima (2017), Reis (1987), Souza (2017), as well as other essential theorists for understandig the power relation in a society in which maintain patriarchal trace.
