O DUPLO COMO MITO, O DUPLO COMO FICÇÃO: UM DEBATE ACERCA DAS CONSTRUÇÕES DA FIGURA DO DOPPELGÄNGER

Abstract

The doppelgänger myth, creatures that are usually a physical copy of an individual but completely the opposite in characteristics, aspirations and desires; has been in humanity for millennia and has been represented in different ways throughout history by mythology, literature, psychology, and finally by the cyberculture. The purpose of this paper is to portray how the same myth was worked in different ways, providing a contextualization of its literary dissemination and its update to contemporary cyberculture.
