O GROTESCO NO POEMA JANTAR, DE HELENA WERNECK

Abstract

This article aims to analyze a poem by the contemporary writer from Mato Grosso Helena Werneck that at sixteen years old through the poetic book Nu, is contemplated by the 2nd Mato Grosso Literature Award 2016, in revelation category. We will make an analysis of the poem Jantar, first poem arranged in his work and during our aprproach discuss how the grotesque manifests itself in his work and how it is related to the banquet of François Rabelais. We will discuss some of the possible relationships from this work with the poetry of Baudelaire and the fact that we can consider Werneck a contemporary poet. For this, we will have as main theoretical contribution the book A cultura popular na Idade Média e no Renascimento: o contexto de François Rabelais (1987) of Mikhail Bakhtin and we will dwell on some other works such as O que é o contemporâneo? e outros ensaios, of Giorgio Agamben, O arco e a lira of Octavio Paz and Sobre alguns temas em Baudelaire, of Walter Benjamin among other theorists.
