ANÁLISE DESCRITIVA DA DEGRADAÇÃO AMBIENTAL DO RIO DOCE NO DO BAIRRO SÃO TARCÍSIO EM GOVERNADOR VALADARES – MG

RESUMO

O atual modelo de sociedade é o resultado das grandes mudanças que ocorreram no cenário econômico e tecnológico amplamente difundido na Revolução Industrial. A relação homem/meio ambiente, desde então tem sido conflituosa, perturbando os ciclos bem definidos da natureza, gerando a diminuição da qualidade um esgotamento dos recursos naturais, até então “inesgotáveis”. O adensamento populacional em áreas de risco é uma das consequências desse processo e a cidade de Governador Valadares/MG é um exemplo muito atual e contemporâneo de tal abordagem. Portanto o objetivo desse artigo foi realizar uma analise descritiva da degradação ambiental do rio Doce no trecho urbano do bairro São Tarcísio. E para a avaliação desses impactos foram utilizados alguns métodos, tais como: fotos, pesquisas bibliográficas, visita “in loco” e pesquisas históricas sobre o local. Após a analise dos resultados foi possível notar que há muito que se fazer em relação a essa problemática, cobrando ações das politicas públicas com o remanejamento das comunidades ribeirinhas focando em medidas mitigadoras para a mesma.

DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION OF THE RIO DOCE IN THE SÃO TARCÍSIO NEIGHBORHOOD IN GOVERNADOR VALADARES - MG

ABSTRACT

The current model of society is the result of the great changes that have occurred in the economic and technological scenario widespread in the Industrial Revolution. The human/environment relationship, has since been confrontational, disturbing the well-defined cycles of nature, generating depletion decreased quality of hitherto "inexhaustible" natural resources. The population density in areas of risk is one of the consequences of this process and the city of Governador Valadares/MG is a very current and contemporary example of such an approach. Therefore the aim of this article was to conduct a descriptive analysis of the environmental degradation of Sweet river in the urban stretch of the São Tarcísio neighborhood. Photographs, literature searches, visit "spot" and historical research on the spot: E to assess these impacts some methods, such as were used. After analysis of the results was noticed that there is much to do about this problem, focusing on the actions of public policies with diverting river communities focusing on mitigation measures for the same.
