O FILISTEU DA CULTURA ENQUANTO LIVRE-PENSADOR E REPRESENTANTE DO ESTADO E DO CRISTIANISMO INSTITUCIONAL EM NIETZSCHE

Resumo

Atento aos problemas da falta de honestidade intelectual presente nos seus conterrâneos, Nietzsche defende a necessidade de se agir de maneira contrária à do livre-pensador, representado na figura do teólogo David Strauss. O filósofo chama a atenção para questões relativas a uma existência plena. Ao contrário, o livre-pensador está demasiadamente preocupado em ter fama, não se volta para a cultura popular, tampouco para o que realmente é necessário à vida. Ele está somente vinculado às massas, é filho dessa cultura tipicamente alemã e nacionalista de sua época. Assim, Nietzsche aponta que David Strauss é a submisso à moralidade cristã e ao Estado. Deste modo, também influencia os demais eruditos a continuarem cometendo esses mesmos erros, uma vez que ele é visto como uma espécie de líder desse público, mesmo sendo um filisteu da cultura.

 Abstract

Attentive to the problems of the lack of intellectual honesty present in his fellow countrymen, Nietzsche defends the need to act in a manner contrary to that of the freethinker, represented in the figure of the theologian David Strauss. The philosopher draws attention to issues relating to a fulfilling existence. The freethinker, on the other hand, is too preoccupied with fame; he doesn't focus on popular culture or what is really necessary for life. He is only linked to the masses; he is a child of the typically German and nationalist culture of his time. Thus, Nietzsche points out that David Strauss is submissive to Christian morality and the state. In this way, he also influences other scholars to continue making these same mistakes, since he is seen as a kind of leader of this public, even though he is a philistine of culture.
