DA QUESTÃO JUDAICA À QUESTÃO PALESTINA: O PENSADOR JUDEU ERNST BLOCH E A RECUSA RADICAL AO SIONISMO

Resumo

O presente texto tem por escopo refletir o posicionamento político antissionista do filósofo Ernst Bloch (1885-1977). Foi constante na obra do autor a preocupação com a situação dos judeus na Europa. No exílio durante a Segunda Guerra, escreveu Herança dessa época (1935), um livro contra o fascismo que buscou contribuir no âmbito da compreensão das razões que levaram à adesão dos mais amplos setores da sociedade alemã ao nazismo. Em O Princípio esperança (1954-1959), a reflexão em torno da questão judaica ganha novos patamares ao denunciar, à luz do marxismo, a constituição do Estado sionista como “invasão de uma terra árabe”. O texto que segue busca refletir a atualidade da crítica empreendida pelo filósofo ao sionismo, mostrando como sua constituição em Estado representou o surgimento de uma “questão palestina”. Para Bloch não há solução isolada para os problemas de minorias nacionais, levando à compreensão de que os interesses de palestinos e judeus não somente não são antagônicos – como os sionistas tentam levar a crer –, como caminham na direção das lutas das classes trabalhadoras em todo o mundo, e são essas, independente do credo e da nacionalidade, que têm levantado, hoje, a bandeira por uma Palestina livre, do rio ao mar.

Abstract

This text aims to reflect the anti-Zionist political position of the philosopher Ernst Bloch (1885-1977). Concern about the situation of the Jews in Europe was constant in the author's work. In exile during the Second World War, he wrote Heritage of that Time (1935), a book against fascism that sought to contribute to understanding the reasons that led to the broadest sectors of German society joining Nazism. In The Principle of Hope (1954-1959), reflection on the Jewish question gains new heights by denouncing, in the light of Marxism, the constitution of the Zionist State as an “invasion of an Arab land”. The text that follows seeks to reflect the current criticism made by the philosopher against Zionism, showing how its constitution as a State represented the emergence of a “Palestinian question”. For Bloch, there is no isolated solution to the problems of national minorities, leading to the understanding that the interests of Palestinians and Jews are not only not antagonistic – as Zionists try to lead us to believe – but also move in the direction of the struggles of the working classes in the whole world, and it is these, regardless of creed and nationality, who have raised, today, the flag for a free Palestine, from the river to the sea.
