THE IMPORTANCE OF THE USE OF VARIOUS LEARNING STYLES IN HIGHER EDUCATION

ABSTRACT: Observe in groups of studies, composed of more than two people, that having the same level of knowledge in certain subjects, receiving the same type of information and explanation and carrying out the same activities there are significant differences of knowledge of each member. This is because each individual will learn in a different way, have different doubts and stand out more in one area than in others. Getting to know the students, and understanding how they learn, is important information for teachers who want the maximum number of students to acquire the knowledge passed on to them. Learning styles can be conceptualized as the set of conditions by which individuals begin to concentrate, absorb, process, and retain difficult or new information and skills. It is therefore very important that the teacher knows these styles in order to optimize and diversify the classes, using various styles in order to benefit all students in their particularities. In this aspect, the objective of this research was to present learning styles according to the approaches of some scholars in the subject. The research will present approaches by Kolb, Myers and Briggs, Felder and Silverman and the VAC. To reach the proposed objective, an international and national bibliographical review was carried out.
