REFLECTIONS ABOUT THE DIALOGUES THAT ARE ESTABLISHED IN THE READING PROCESS OF THE BOOK "THE VISIT"
Abstract
Based on the Bakhtinian perspective, which conceives language as a form of social interaction, we assume reading as a dialogical process of meaning construction. We look, therefore, to the materiality of the written text as a place of dialogue between reader and writer, what characterizes the reading as responsive act. From this perspective, we aimed to investigate the possibilities of children's literature, in order to understand the dialogues that are established between the text, its context and its reader. In this paper, we propose to trace an analysis of the construction of its meanings. To do so, we chose the methodology of the evidentiary paradigma, developed by Carlo Ginzburg (1989), which, in consonance with Bakhtin's heteroscientific perspective (2003), allows us to focus on language without generalizations or "objectifications". As a result, the analysis developed made it evident that the book, as a real unity of discourse, is not limited to its printed pages, on the contrary, it expands and dialogues with the texts that preceded it, with the context of its production and, mainly, with its reader and, in this movement of alternating voices, its meanings are constituted.
