However, it is from the last two decades that a greater amount of research around them has been carried out in the academic field. In this way, the present work takes shape through the historical-mnemonic analysis of the four volumes of the Showa manga and the March to death manga, all authored by Shigeru Mizuki, a World War II survivor who became a manga artist. The intention of this analysis is, primarily, to think about the memory of the traumatic events of World War II based on the manga of this subject who is directly linked to the event. Therefore, we will start analyzing manga both as an object of memory and history, as a cultural-market object, considering that they will only gain space in certain places from a series of contexts posed by other issues previously. Thus, Mizuki's narratives move in a way that reinforces the need for detachment from belligerence not only on the part of the Japanese, but on the part of the readers as a whole, who have the power to prevent acts of barbarism that occurred during the Second World War.
2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 HON NO MUSHI - MULTIDISCIPLINARY JAPANESE STUDIES - ISSN 2526-3846//periodicos.ufam.edu.br/index.php/HonNoMushi/article/view/8860BRIEF HISTORY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION IN BRAZIL2021-04-13T06:11:00+00:00Mariane Andrade Marquesmariane.andrade.marques@usp.br
A brief history with the intent of giving an overview of the linguistic policies concerning teaching foreign languages in Brazil, paying close attention to the occasions when it was considered unlawful to do so. It was analyzed and compared the textbook and audio files of the first ten lessons of Minna no Nihongo Shokyû I (2nd Edition) and Irodori (Introductory A1), in which we analyzed the information and construction of the lessons in the textbooks, the teaching methods, linguistic skills and language of the two books, with a theoretical basis in the studies of Alkmin (2001), Coracini (1999), Feldmann (2019), Ferro and Bergmann (2013), Leffa (2016) and Oliveira (2015). It was found that, although the textbooks are of basic level, the objectives are the opposite and therefore, we found that the teaching methods are different, the activities are developed focusing on a certain linguistic skill in each book and the language does not expose the students enough to the linguistic variations. In addition, it was carried out a critical reflection on the importance of the use these textbooks in classroom.
2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 HON NO MUSHI - MULTIDISCIPLINARY JAPANESE STUDIES - ISSN 2526-3846//periodicos.ufam.edu.br/index.php/HonNoMushi/article/view/10560ASPECTOS DA VEROSSIMILHANÇA NO CONTO KAPPA2022-04-13T22:35:41+00:00Tainnah Ribeirotainnahr@hotmail.comLinda Midori Tsuji Nishikidolindanishikido@gmail.com
ABSTRACT: The present research aims to investigate aspects of verisimilitude in tale Kappa (1927), by Ryunosuke Akutagawa, whose analysis of this narrative allows a better understanding of the works that involve the author and his ideas, thus contributing to studies in Japanese literature. For this, theoretical considerations and surveys were be made on the definitions of literature and your functions, mimesis and especially on the verisimilar aspects, which will serve as a basis for understanding the theme. The research is bibliographic in nature and the authors will be used as theoretical basis Compagnon (2014) present in The Demon of Theory: Literature and Common Sense, for observations on the verisimilitude in literature, Warren and Wellek (2003) conceptions in Theory of Literature and methodology of literary studies for the definitions of literature and your functions and Friedrich Nietzsche (2002, 2005) regarding philosophical questions. Therefore, this research made it possible to demonstrate that within the literary work there are credible and that its function is to relate reality to the narrative, in order to understand and reflect on society, as well as delight in reading the work.

2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 HON NO MUSHI - MULTIDISCIPLINARY JAPANESE STUDIES - ISSN 2526-3846//periodicos.ufam.edu.br/index.php/HonNoMushi/article/view/12346Portugal-Japan. Multicentennial journey of cultural-artistic exchange2023-05-08T12:32:41+00:00Maria Joao Castromariajoaocastro@fcsh.unl.pt
ABSTRACT

The journey that this article proposes begins with the discovery of the exotic “other” of Modernity and ends with the arrival at the destination and the revelation of the impermanence of life in the Contemporary Era. In the interval of this chronological time, part of the cultural relations that Portugal and Japan developed over six centuries are outlined in a prolific and tentacular exchange whose matrix is based on a history of echoes and drifts. In the year in which the 480th anniversary of the arrival of the Portuguese in Japan (1543-2023) is celebrated, it is the right time to, in retrospect, crystallize and put into perspective an essayistic look at a bilateral and multi-century relationship based on an exchange of artistic ancestry from visual culture.
2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 HON NO MUSHI - MULTIDISCIPLINARY JAPANESE STUDIES - ISSN 2526-3846//periodicos.ufam.edu.br/index.php/HonNoMushi/article/view/16938EXPLORANDO AS RAÍZES JOMON2024-11-15T23:44:30+00:00Allan Nywner Praia Mendonçalaslael@gmail.com
This article investigates the culture of the Jomon people, one of the oldest human groups in Japan, focusing on the interrelations between ceramics, food practices, and the physical characteristics of this society. The objective is to analyze how technological innovations and environmental adaptations shaped the cultural identity of the Jomon over time. The methodology includes a literature review, utilizing archaeological, anthropological, and historical sources, with an emphasis on the research of Kenneth Henshall (2017), Tae Suzuki (1997) and Tatsuo Kobayashi (2004). The theoretical framework is grounded in cultural anthropology, addressing food practices and the relationship between culture and environment, highlighting the concept of cultural resilience. This study contributes to the understanding of the formation of Japanese identity, emphasizing the Jomon legacy in the history of the archipelago and promoting reflection on contemporary cultural diversity and its historical roots.
2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 HON NO MUSHI - MULTIDISCIPLINARY JAPANESE STUDIES - ISSN 2526-3846
